MONKS ELEIGH CIRCULAR
A simple stroll that will take you on a journey through two of Suffolk’s most beautiful villages. Thatched roofs and colourful cottages, in between stunning landscapes. This walk has something for everyone, natural sights, a pit-stop to shop, historical churches and of course our pub to fill growing appetites!

Directions:
Stepping out of The Lindsey Rose, turn left
Turn right at the Y-junction, following the sign that points to Monks Eleigh
Follow the road, passing horse pastures & the Boyton Hall Equestrian Centre
At the next Y-junction follow to the right
Upon reading Back Lane turn right onto the A1141
Turn left and Bridge Farm Barns will be to your right
To continue pass over the bridge
(To explore Monk’s Eleigh & The Church of St Peter turn left)
At the intersection across the bridge continue forward towards the footpath sign that directs to the right
Follow the sign, walking along the farmland hedgerows edge
When another footpath sign is visible at the opposite end of the field turn right onto the road
Pass over the bridge into Chelsworth
Continue to follow the road into Chelsworth
(To explore Chelsworth’s All Saints Church turn right and follow the gravel road – entrance to this road is when the road takes a left, just before reaching step 13)
Upon reaching the Y-junction that is marked by a black & white signpost, turn right
Cross over the bridge and follow the road
Continue up the hill
When the junction is reach at the top of the hill (marked by a finger post sign), follow the road to the right
Continue to follow the road round and uphill until a crossroad is reached
Pass straight over the crossroad and follow the sign directing to The Lindsey Rose
Follow the road through Lindsey village until you return to The Lindsey Rose
